A Prayer in Song: The Origin of My Music
When I pray, I sing. It is the most intimate and potent way I connect with Spirit—inviting presence, opening ceremony, and calling in the sacred. Singing allows me to traverse dimensions: through the body, the natural world, and the great cosmos.
For many years, spirit songs and sacred melodies have been part of my daily prayers—received directly from the unseen realms. These songs are not written in the traditional sense; they arrive as transmissions, gifts from the Spirits. They have always been deeply personal, too sacred to share. I’m not a performer. I’m shy. For a long time, I kept them to myself.
In 2019, I received a message from an ancestor while on a vision fast in Death Valley. The ancestor’s voice, clear and deep, told me
The thing is, I didn’t go into the desert and fast for four days and four nights, receive a message from an ancestor, and then not follow through. When a Spirit tells me to do something, I listen. I don’t want to find out what happens if I don’t. With the release of the Pachamama Invocation (Parts 1 & 2) I have complied with these Divine Orders. These songs are prayers of remembrance and return. My hope is that this song opens your heart, reconnects you to your true nature, and brings you into alignment with the field of unconditional love that surrounds and sustains us all.
Please share it freely—with those who are grieving, seeking, healing, or simply longing to remember. May this music be a bridge back to the sacred, a balm, a blessing, a gentle invocation of who we truly are.
